Wheelchair Ramp for Bill
North Pole, Alaska
Bill is a man in his 40's living in North Pole, Alaska. He has Multiple Sclerosis and very recently, Bill has suffered falls and quickly is losing his ability to stand on his legs. He needs a wheelchair ramp into his house and an electric wheelchair. Medicaid will be providing the electric wheelchair, but he is in need of community assistance to have a wheelchair ramp constructed at his home.
Let's help this kind man who has a debilitating illness to remain as functional as he can! In Bill's own word, he is "fighting for survival".
The estimated cost for the wheelchair ramp materials with treated lumber, screws and a railing is about $700.00. All labor will be donated by local volunteers who are experienced carpenters.
