On October 26th and Ocotber 27th, Carpenters Union Local 1243 and Ace Roofing LLC constructed A Wheelchair Ramp for Bill, with materials purchased by Our 2 Cents Fairbanks Inc. donors.<3 The ramp is beautiful and 100% ADA compliant and ready for Bill’s Power Chair!
Bill is an amazing, kind man who lives in North Pole who has had Multiple Sclerosis for nearly 30 years. His disease is advanced and is continuing to progress and he has lost the ability to use his legs. Without this ramp, he would not have been able to request the power chair that he so desperately needs. This will be life changing for him and we are so humbled and happy to have been able to help.
Thank you to Our 2 Cents Fairbanks Inc. donors who funded this project fast! Because of you, we were able to complete contruction before winter hit and the snow flew, which allowed Bill to schedule the neccesary appointments to get his custom Power Chair ordered.
And thank you to the talented carpenters (Donovan, Jack, Wakan, AJ, Steve & Andre) who so generously gave their time and skill to build Bill’s ramp. You all have hearts of gold!
